Fanrun Fantasy Scoreboard: Week 12
There are two weeks left in the fantasy football season.
After 12 weeks, there’s a new team in first place, four teams sitting at 8-4, and a pair of teams in the conversation for last place. Here are the Week 12 results.
HOUSTON KRESS 113.96 vs TUCKER HARLIN 120.52
After the tailspin my team has been on, I will take any victories I can get.
Houston’s three wins over me were at receiver, tight end, and kicker.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba alone almost outscored both Jayden Reed and Jerry Jeudy, and Spencer Shrader scored 13 in relief of Harrison Butker. Jonnu Smith did the best of everyone in the matchup, but I salute Will Dissly for his services.
None of my wins this week were dominant ones.
My biggest victory was at running back thanks largely to Aaron Jones, but Derrick Henry didn’t exactly go off on Monday. Thankfully, Joe Mixon’s encore to the hat trick didn’t live up to the hype.
Michael Pittman Jr, Matthew Stafford, and the Dolphins defense were all serviceable enough to get me wins at their positions. Houston had a bit of a raw deal starting Tommy DeVito.
The Vol Rumor Mill left two monstrous performances from Jaylen Waddle and Keenan Allen on the bench.
JACE BROWN 123.48 vs MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES 113.38
More Important Issues’ time at the top of the fantasy standings was short-lived.
Tight end, flex, and kicker were the three wins Issues took over the weekend. George Kittle broke 20, but the next best scorer in that bunch was with Ka’imi Fairbairn scoring 10.
All of Jace’s victories were competitive ones.
His biggest margin of victory was at running back with Jahmyr Gibbs single-handedly outscoring J.K. Dobbins and Chuba Hubbard. Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals defense were both single-digit wins.
Receiver was the closest it got at 30.9-29.2 with Jakobi Meyers winning the day.
The Packers defense on MIssues bench was the only noteworthy bench performance.
SAM BEARD 107.8 vs RYAN BROWN 105.82
Sam is continuing to win ugly, but the result of this slugfest against Ryan has him back atop the Fanrun fantasy standings.
Sam’s three wins were at running back, receiver, and kicker.
Tony Pollard and Nick Chubb pieced together weeks that hovered around the 20s. The receiver battle was ugly as Mike Evans’ 11.8 was the only score in double figures. Dicker the Kicker had himself a night on Monday.
The highlights for Ryan consisted of a 19.42 from Bo Nix, a mere survival at tight end with down week from Brock Bowers, an explosive 29.7 from Courtland Sutton, and staying positive on offense.
Both of Sam’s bench quarterbacks outscored Kyler Murray while DeAndre Hopkins and Xavier Legette did better for Ryan than his starting receivers.
WILLIAM PATTESON 114.92 vs TIM HILL 93.46
Overtime Bill’s head to head victory over Peaches moves him out of the last place conversation for the time being.
William secured a pair of ugly wins at running back and receiver. Kenneth Walker and Rhamondre Stevenson held a 16.6-14.7 edge while CeeDee Lamb’s 16.8 was enough against both Deebo Samuel and Tank Dell.
Other victories for Overtime Bill included a survival with Jameson Williams at flex, breaking positive on defense, and Wil Lutz scoring 22 at kicker.
Tim won a highly competitive battle at quarter with Patrick Mahomes against Tua Tagovailoa. Zach Ertz’s 15.8 was enough to secure a win at tight end.
Jordan Addison was terrific on William’s bench while Justice Hill was serviceable there for Tim.
CODY MCCLURE 101.96 vs BOB BASKERVILLE 105.16
Bob held on against the Varsity Athletes to move out of the last place log jam.
Cody’s four wins were at running back, tight end, defense, and kicker. David Montgomery alone outscored Brian Robinson and Tyrone Tracy, but neither Hunter Henry, the Lions defense, nor Justin Tucker broke double figures.
Bob edged out quarterback with an 18.66 from Baker Mayfield, outplayed Tyreek Hill and Malik Nabers with A.J. Brown alone, and doubled Cody at flex with a 28.6 from Josh Jacobs.
T.J. Hockenson and Ameer Abdullah both did well on Bob’s bench while Calvin Ridley’s 14.3 was solid on Cody’s bench.
JON REED 157.7 vs RUSSELL SMITH 162.1
Jon and Russell may have played in the fantasy game of the century of the year in the Fanrun Fantasy Football Fight.
The Juggalos put together dominant performances at both quarterback and receiver. Jayden Daniels eclipsed 30 to Russell Wilson’s 13.8, and D.J. Moore and Cooper Kupp went for just shy of 47 while D.K. Metcalf couldn’t break 10 for Russell.
But Jon wasn’t so fortunate in other places.
Despite a terrific combined effort of 42.5 from Jaylen Warren and Bucky Irving, they couldn’t outscore the 46.2 Saquon Barkley ran for on Sunday night. Other big crucial wins for Russell included a 25.3 out of Trey McBride and an 18-2 victory on defense.
Neither Jon nor Russell had any significant developments on the bench.
