Chaz Lanier, Zakai Zeigler Make Elite Midseason Team

Two Tennessee basketball players have made the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team, according to a release from UT.

The Atlanta Tipoff Club/Naismith Awards announced today that Chaz Lanier and Zakai Zeigler are both included in the list of 30 elite players.

Lanier is averaging 17.4 points per game this season and shooting 40.2 percent from 3-point range.

Zeigler averages 13 points per game along with 3.4 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and over two steals per game. He’s also fourth nationally in assist average, the release states.

The boys are back in action tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET against Vanderbilt. The game will be on SEC Network.
