Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has a new admirer. But he’s not the kind you’d want.
He is a stalker.
"Been driving around your house 3x a day … But don't call the law just yet."
A Texas man was arrested Sunday in Indianapolis on a felony stalking charge after he sent threats and sexually violent messages to Clark, according to court documents obtained by ESPN.
Michael Lewis, of Denton, Texas, was arrested at a hotel in Indianapolis. He told police that he was in "an imaginary relationship" with Clark and that he came to Indianapolis on vacation.
This guy … What a rascal.
"I'm getting tickets. I'm sitting behind the bench," Lewis said in another message.
Clark had reportedly told police she feared for her safety even before the man arrived in Indy.
Some of the messages sent were reportedly more sexually violent in nature.
The man has tagged Clark in hundreds of posts over the last week, as well.
