Tennessee lands Wanya Morris, a building block for the Class of 2019
On Tuesday evening, Class of 2019 4-star OT Wanya Morris announced that he was officially committed to Tennessee.
The Vols edged out Auburn for his commitment.
The 6’6′”, near 300 pounder from Loganville, Georgia is slated as the 46th best prospect- 7th on the offensive line- on 247’s composite rankings. Morris joins 4-star lineman Jackson Lampley and 4-star tight end Jackson Lowe as Tennessee’s only offensive players currently in the 2019 class.
Wanya Morris’s list of offers includes all of the right schools. In addition to edging out Auburn, the Vols beat LSU, Florida State, Alabama, Clemson and Georgia.
Oh yeah, don’t forget to add Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Florida to the list of schools that offered Morris a scholarship.
Instead, new Tennessee offensive line coach Will Friend got the job done. With Morris on board, however, the job isn’t finished. Now, the task at hand will now be showing the talented prospect enough on the field to convince him that the Vols are headed in the right direction.
Either way, this is a big boost of momentum to Tennessee on the recruiting trail.
