The Vols hit the practice field again on Tuesday, this time going full pads for the first time of Fall Camp 2020.
Before practice today, former Vol wide receiver and Tennessee Athletics Hall of Fame member Lester McClain spoke to the football team. McClain was the first African-American to play football for the Vols and was a part of the 1969 SEC Championship team.
The team was forced to practice indoors due to bad weather in the area. This was the first big practice of 2020, as it was the first time since the TaxSlayer Bowl that players were in full pads.
Earlier in the day, Tennessee’s Trey Smith was named to the AP Preseason All-American team.
