The Vols took to the practice field Wednesday afternoon, putting on the pads for the 2nd time of Fall Camp 2020.
Josh Palmer spoke of areas where he can improve during this camp earlier in the day “Mentally is where I feel my game needs to improve, knowing the ends and outs of offense daily.”
So it’s no surprise when people we spoke with regarding the senior wide receiver have been nothing but impressed, “You can tell how much the younger players look up to him, he’s really trying to step up his game and be THE guy in 2020”, said one source.
Matthew Butler has been another player that continues to catch the eye of folks around the program, “He looks to be one of the guys we’ll be able to rely on this season,” said another source.
Butler spoke about how weird it knows the season is still a month away “We’re a whole month away from the season, but we’re going into the 6th practice. It’s definitely not normal. Thankful, its been afforded to us.”
Josh Palmer applauded coach Jeremy Pruitt today during his media session when he discussed the upcoming student athlete march on Saturday, noting Pruitt moved around practice so players could attend.

Some notes coming out of Tuesday’s first padded practice. “Jeremy Banks continued to play well and is soaking up the coaching like a sponge. He plays with a controlled aggression that is unmatched” according to a source.
“Morven Joseph, Tyler Baron both did well getting after the passer,” according to another person. “Warren Burrell played tough as well, definitely working on improving his game.”
