The Tennessee Vols hit the practice field on Tuesday afternoon, as they continue to prepare for a trip to Lexington on Saturday. It was the QB’s who caught the eye of many, as Tennessee works on figuring out the starter.
The QB’s then moved onto their routes-on-air drills with the WR group. Brian Maurer was first up during these drills. JT Shrout was rolling 2nd in these drills, with JG working alongside Kasim Hill during the period, Some of the passes were off, but who am I to judge on a couple of under.thrown balls. The group was getting on the same page during their slant routes & especially long fades
Darnell Wright was working through drills, as he continues to work through an ankle injury, He seemed to be moving well during the 2nd portion of work, but he will still be a work in progress this week. Jahmir Johnson was a full participant in the OL drills, as he continues to work back to 100% from injury. The Vols will need this OL to get back into that cohesive group we witnessed in October.
We will focus more on the defense during Wednesday’s practice, as the Vols continue to prepare for the Wildcats. Follow @TreyWallace_ or @FoxSportsKnox for the latest Tennessee news.
