On Thursday, the Vols held another spring practice that came out with some interesting stories. One of those stories is quite comical, especially for Vol fans on Twitter.
Ben Stancliff (formerly Sabanoccio) tweets team updates and reports from other media sources regularly but acts as if they’re his own. He basically claims himself an “insider” for Tennessee athletics, especially for football, but he’s not. In fact, many Vol fans on Twitter can’t stand him.
On Thursday afternoon, Ben tweeted out, “Kahlil McKenzie is back to full practice participation.” What’s comical is he tweeted it as if he was there in person, as he does most of his tweets, but in reality, he gets his information from VolQuest or GoVols247 posts and message boards. What’s even more comical is the fact Vols defensive lineman Kahlil McKenzie responded to it. If players are calling you out on your fake news, then maybe it’s time to call it quits on Twitter.
