Tennessee lost another legend.
Bill Anderson, 80, died early Tuesday morning. Anderson played for the Vols in 1956 and ’57 as a wingback under hall-of-famer Bowden Wyatt. He was also named a team captain in 1957.
Anderson was a third round pick to the Redskins in 1958. He also played for the Packers to become the first Super Bowl champions in 1967. However, most fans remember him for his broadcasting days on the Vol Network for 30 years, joining John Ward for hundreds of memorable calls, including the 1998 National Championship.
