Check out the epicness seething out of this story.
Two former Vols will join pilot over Neyland Stadium before Saturday’s game in what’s sure to rock your jimmies, for those attending. Air Force Captain Leigh Smith, a former Olympian in the javelin and a three-time All American at Tennessee, will pilot an F-15 alongside four others in a flyover of the Vol Walk, scheduled for 4:45 p.m.
Then, just minutes before kickoff, Capt. Stan Jones will fly an F-18 Hornet over Neyland while sporting some orange.
Is there anything more qualifying for VFL status than flying a fighter jet over Neyland Stadium donning a Power T helmet and carrying a Tennessee flag? Heck to the no. This is simultaneously the most amazing display of American and Tennessee pride you can fit into the skies in a few seconds.
There’s no way the Vols don’t play well with this kind of support.
