4-star Wide Receiver out of Kennesaw, GA Ramel Keyton is down to his final two schools and Tennessee is still in the race.
The 6’3″, almost 200 pound wideout has narrowed his choices down to Auburn and Tennessee. After the end of the 2018 class on national signing day, some Vol fans may be sweating and winching at the pain from finishing second over-and-over-and-over-and-over again.
But the experts are saying that this one should be different. The vibe from him is that he likes the changes he has seen at Tennessee after being on campus for the Orange & White game. But Auburn, the last school he visited on April 5, is definitely right there with them.
The Tennessee receiving corp may be poised for a breakout season in 2018. The Vols will have campus hero Jauan Jennings returning this season after an injury and a brief hiatus from the team following some tension with the coaching staff that was expressed over social media. The return of Marquez Callaway and Brandon Johnson will add to a talented but shallow receiving corp.
Keyton has expressed that Tennessee’s offer is very tempting due to the offer of early playing time and the closeness that his family feels to the coaching staff. He said, “I’ve seen all I need to see, it’s just sitting down and making the decision.” Even after he commits, he plans to continue to visit more schools. Penn State and Ohio State are both on his list.
