The PGA Tour Continues Its Midwest Swing In Minnesota

The PGA Tour will stop in Minnesota for this week’s challenge.

TPC Twin Cities will play host for to the 3M Open and the PGA Tour.

This is only the second rendition of the 3M Open, with last year’s winner being the young gun Matthew Wolff. It does not appear that Tiger Woods will be participating this week, nor in the near future. With that said, the show just go on!

This Arnold Palmer design will provide some exciting golf.

Wolff won last year with a score of -21. The course plays at 7,164 yards, just a bit below the tour average. The course does, however, feature plenty of water that could prove tricky to navigate.

Time to lock in some picks!

This week’s field is a little weaker than what we have seen to this point in the restart. The odds on favorite according to Las Vegas this week is Dustin Johnson at 10-1.

I am not a huge fan of this pick based off of his performance the past weeks. Without further ado I present my locks of the week:

This week’s “Best Bet” is Tommy Fleetwood.

At 14-1 I think he provides good value in a thin field. His play has been consistent since the restart and I think is ready to break out.

This week’s “Dark Horse” is Max Homa at 80-1.

You may know him as “the guy who roasts golf swings on Twitter.” He plays professional golf too. He had a decent performance last week and provides a lot of upside from the “Dark Horse” slot this week.

Last but not least I present our “Long Shot:” Ted Potter.

Potter may very well be one of the goofiest looking people on tour, but damn it can he swing a golf club. The lefty has had a stretch of top-20 finishes. I think the mounting momentum makes him a great pick at 300-1.
