Tennessee Working In Younger Players, As Bye Week Practice Continues

Tennessee hit the field on Tuesday night for their second consecutive practice of the week. The Vols had the day off on Sunday, but were on the field Monday evening, which turned out to be a spirited practice according to sources.

Jeremy Pruitt said this would be a week for the younger players to step up and gain some opportunities at playing time.

“This next week will be a great opportunity. We have a lot of young players in our program that try really hard, but based off opportunities, they haven’t had chances to get in there and to learn and create the right habits, and this next week will be a great opportunity for them.”

Multiple younger players had the opportunity to get valuable reps on Monday night, with some guys practicing in new positions. If you want a full breakdown of this, checkout the “Rocky Top Report” from Tuesday on The Drive.

This will continue to be a very big week for the growth of this football team. Coming off three straight losses, this group needs a fresh shot in the arm and Jeremy Pruitt is hoping his players take advantage of these next few practices.

Here are a few images from Tuesday nights practice.

Jeremy Pruitt will meet with the media on Wednesday at noon, as they continue to push through the bye week.
