Week 12 SEC Letter Grades: Georgia Through Missouri
GEORGIA: A
There are only a handful of games in which Georgia has looked the part as a national title contender this season. Its 31-17 win over Tennessee was one in the handful.
Carson Beck took advantage of the looks the Vols were giving him, even running the ball in a few instances. Unlike the loss to Ole Miss, the line held Tennessee to just two tackles for loss.
The defense made adjustments after the Vols’ first scoring drive. The Bulldogs didn’t allow many successful downfield pass plays, and the defensive line put Nico Iamaleava on the ground five times.
The Dawgs kept their playoff hopes alive.
KENTUCKY: B+
The Wildcats were supposed to beat a 1-9 Murray State 48-6, but mistakes like the ones they made against the Racers make for a loss against better foes.
You can blame some of Vandagriff’s interception on injury, but why is he getting so much run in what was expected to be a blowout?
The Wildcats fumbled a kickoff return in the third quarter. They weren’t in a position to let Murray State back in the game or anything, but they were very fortunate to get out of that with just a field goal surrendered.
Mark Stoops has his mind set on Texas while the fan base has its mind set on basketball.
LSU: F
Outside of this difficult touchdown pass from Garrett Nussmeier to Aaron Anderson, LSU fans want to forget this game as quickly as possible.

Play at the line of scrimmage is telling of what went wrong for the Tigers.
What’s supposed to be one of the best offensive lines in the country was torn apart, surrendering seven sacks to the Gators. LSU had surrendered six sacks before traveling to the swamp. On the other hand, the defensive line couldn’t get Florida behind the chains.
The biggest failure in this game was Brian Kelly.
They had two weeks to get a loss to Texas A&M out of their systems only to get blasted at home by Alabama. Nothing about LSU’s demeanor Saturday suggested the morale had improved.
In fact, Brian Kelly called his receivers “F***ing uncoachable” after an empty possession. The seat is warming in Baton Rouge.
“Don’t walk away from me. You are f——g uncoachable. Who the f—k do you think you are?”

MISSOURI: C
Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers get a C because this game was at least competitive to the end.
South Carolina led 21-6 and got the ball to begin the second half. Mizzou got off the field on a turnover on downs at its own 34 and clawed back to a lead.
The efforts of Brady Cook and the receivers along with a supplementary 150 on the ground from Nate Noel had the Tigers up in the final minutes of the game.
But the defense couldn’t hold. The pass it allowed over the middle guaranteed at least overtime, and no amount of muscle could prevent Rocket Sanders from reaching the end zone.
