Watch James Pearce’s Reaction To Being Drafted By The Falcons

Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce was taken 26th overall by the Atlanta Falcons in last night’s NFL Draft.

He became Tennessee’s 48th all-time first round pick, according to UTSports.com.

The Falcons traded up for Pearce, who became their second pass rusher selected in the first round. Atlanta is clearly trying to get better on the defensive line.

Pearce was the first UT player to be selected by the Falcons since they took Demetrin Veal back in 2003.

“It's the third time in four years that Tennessee has produced at least one defensive lineman selected in the first five rounds under the tutelage of Rodney Garner and Levorn Harbin,” per UTSports.
