Vols Wednesday Availability Report: Kentucky
By Tucker Harlin
The SEC released its availability reports for November 2 football games on Wednesday evening.
This is the report for Kentucky at Tennessee:
As always, we’ll start with the Tennessee side.
The only new additions to this report are offensive lineman William Satterwhite and defensive lineman Caleb Herring listed as questionable. Neither was expected to play an important role this weekend.
Let’s shift to Kentucky, who has quite a bit going on with the report.
Of the probables, Demie Sumo-Karngbaye and Deone Walker are the two you should know. Walker is a clogger on the defensive front and Sumo-Karngbaye has started at running back in the absence of Chip Trayanum, who is out again this week.
Don’t pay attention to the questionables, and the lone doubtful, Quay’sheed Scott, has been limited all season.
Many important pieces are listed as out for the Wildcats.
We’ll start with one many of you know in tackle Gerald Mincey, who has gone out of his way to troll the Vols since he arrived in Lexington.
The other important player listed as out on offense is tight end Jordan Dingle, who the Vols were targeting in the transfer portal in the offseason.
Defensively, lineman Josaih Hayes, linebackers D’Eryk Jackson and J.J. Weaver, and defensive back Maxwell Hairston are all out.
All of these players have made meaningful contributions in at least the last two seasons for Kentucky. Hairston had five interceptions last season, Weaver has five sacks this season, and Jackson led the team in tackles with 89 last season.
