Vols’ Kickoff Time Against Alabama Announced

#8 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1) kicks off against #7 Alabama (4-1, 1-1) at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC on October 20.
The matchup had competition with the game in Austin between Georgia and Texas for the night time ABC slot, and that’s ultimately the route ABC/ESPN decided to go.
The traditional “Third Saturday of October” matchup is one of two scheduled in the later afternoon window. Two are scheduled in the early window, and the other four will all kickoff at night.

Tennessee and Alabama will have kicked off five times in a row at Neyland Stadium in the 3:30 window. The other four 3:30 kicks were on CBS which prioritizes the time slot.
2014 was the last time the two met at night in Neyland Stadium, a 34-20 win for Alabama in which a strong first half carried it to victory..
