Tennessee is set to meet with 5-star guard Darius Adams via Zoom in the coming days, per Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Wilson wrote that this news comes from a source with direct knowledge of the situation.

Listed at 6-foot-5, Adams is the No. 23 prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Adams was formerly committed to play at UConn but decided to open his recruitment back up on April 19th.

He had previously visited UT before committing to the Huskies.

“If Tennessee signs Adams, it would be the third time the Vols have signed two five-stars in the same class under Barnes,” Wilson wrote.

Rick Barnes’ 2025-26 roster is coming into form with an established front court, a talented point guard in Ja’Kobi Gillespie, and the recent commitment from future NBA first rounder Nate Ament.

All that seems to be missing is a talented three-point shooter or two.

It goes without saying that landing Adams would be huge.
