Vol Football Was A Must-See Attraction In 2024
By Cody McClure
Tennessee had one of the most-watched teams in all of college football in 2024.
The Vols had 58 million viewers last season on TV, according to a release from the official X account this morning.
The SEC had a fresh partnership with ABC and ESPN this past season, and the Vols were featured in multiple primetime night games (vs. NC State, at Oklahoma, at Arkansas, Florida, at Georgia).
Tennessee’s annual Third Saturday in October rivalry game vs. Alabama was a late afternoon game.
The Vols averaged 6.4 million viewers per game in 2024.
That was good enough for fifth in the nation.
It’s good to be in a position where Tennessee is must-see TV again — a far cry from where we were just a handful of seasons ago.
These are the types of things that are essential in recruiting.
Eyeballs on the Big Orange. A great thing.
