Tennessee’s football recruiting momentum rolled into overdrive on Tuesday, as the Volunteers locked up their third commitment of the day with in-state cornerback Jamyan “JT” Theodore deciding to join the party, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.

The 6-foot, 171 pound defensive back out of Baylor School in Chattanooga chose UT over a slew of offers that included Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Louisville, taking official visits to each.

Theodore becomes the fourth defensive back commitment in the 2026 class for the Vols and second cornerback commit joining Greeneville native Zaydyn Anderson. His addition continues to show Tennessee’s push to keep top in-state talent from going elsewhere.

Ranked as a three-star, Theodore is rated as the No. 768 prospect in the country and a top 20 player in the state of Tennessee, giving cornerbacks coach Willie Martinez another high-upside piece in the secondary room.

This commitment also strengthens the Baylor School-to-Knoxville pipeline, as Theodore becomes the second Baylor School standout to commit to the Vols in the 2026 class, joining five-star offensive tackle and fellow Canadian Gabriel Osenda.
