Texas A&M, A School That Has Never Won Anything, Gets Richer

By Cody McClure

Texas A&M — a perpetual 7-5/8-4 school that has never won anything — is now going to be even richer.

The Aggies are set to announce a “game-changing agreement in the multi-media rights space,” according to Billy Liucci from TexAgs.com.

A&M is reportedly inking a 15-year, $515-million, fully-guaranteed deal with Playfly Sports.

“A&M jumps from $18mm to $34mm annually, thanks to the largest such deal in college athletics,” Liucci said.

This partnership will almost certainly result in A&M bringing in some more big-time talent, but we’ve seen them do that before.

If the head coach isn’t right, it won’t matter.

Is Mike Elko the guy to finally win something at A&M? Maybe. Time will tell.

This influx of cash surely won’t hurt things.
