Tennessee Progresses In Entertainment District Project
By Tucker Harlin
The University of Tennessee announced Wednesday it had delegated oversight of construction of its Neyland Entertainment District to the 865 Neyland Project Team.
The university noted in its press release that the group consists of individuals that helped build such districts for the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, and Texas Rangers.
Another major step taken in the realization of the Neyland Entertainment District.

With this announcement came renderings for the design of the Neyland Entertainment District.
The renderings display the businesses on the southwest side of the stadium with the hotel on the southeast end, along with a riverfront greenway.
The hotel features the amenities of a rooftop bar and restaurant along with a pool, spa, and fitness center. It will consist of roughly 240 hotel rooms and 60 luxury condos.
The proposition of the mixed-use Neyland Entertainment District came about in May of 2023. The university is still seeking approval from the Tennessee State Building Commission before proceeding with its design.
