Vol Baseball’s ace pitcher Liam Doyle has been named to the 2025 College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Year Watch List, according to a press release.

Doyle was one of 54 pitchers named to the list on Friday.

As UT’s game on starter this season, he’s posted a 6-1 record with a 2.47 ERA over nine starts.

Doyle leads the nation in strikeouts with 95 total and 16.76 per nine innings.

He’s also earned SEC Pitcher of the Week honors three times on the year — a UT single-season record.

“The New Hampshire native also leads the conference in hits allowed per nine innings (4.76), WHIP (0.84) and opponent batting average (.153),” the release stated.

Tennessee takes on Kentucky in a three-game series this weekend with the first pitch of game one scheduled for 6:30 ET this evening at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
