RIP To Tennessee Legend Steve Kiner

Steve Kiner — a former All-American linebacker for the Vols and College Football Hall of Famer — has died at 77.

Kiner played for UT in the 1960s and helped his team compile a 26-6-1 record over his career.

They won two SEC championships between 1967-69.

Kiner was a consensus first-team All-American as a junior and a year later was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

He’s in the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.

In the NFL he played nine total seasons from 1970-78 with Dallas, New England, Washington, and Houston.
