NC State to be Without Key Defender Against Tennessee
By Tucker Harlin
NC State coach Dave Doeren announced Monday that the Wolf Pack will be without starting nickelback Devan Boykin for the remainder of September.
Boykin is the top returning tackler in the secondary as he finished last season with 54.
However, Boykin is rehabbing from an ACL tear he suffered near the end of the 2023 season.

The Wolf Pack defense didn’t exactly have the strongest outing in its 38-21 win over Western Carolina Thursday.
Catamounts quarterback Cole Gonzales threw for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns while scampering for 75 yards on the ground.
Meanwhile, Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava just broke a school record for pass yards against a better team from the same conference as Western Carolina.
Each side will be the other’s biggest test of the non conference slate on Saturday in Charlotte.
