‘Pack the Yum’: Louisville Basketball Coach Urges Students to Come Game Against Tennessee
By Tucker Harlin
#12 Tennessee (1-0) takes on its first road test at Louisville (1-0) Saturday at the KFC Yum! Center.
Normally I’d tell you what time tip off is, but I’ll just let Cardinals coach Pat Kelsey do that instead:
Big game = PK on campus.

By no means am I writing this with the intent of knocking on Kelsey.
He seems like a guy that players are motivated to play for, like football coach trapped in a basketball coach’s body. Louisville students need to be motivated to watch their basketball program after it suffered for two seasons under the disastrous reign of Kenny Payne.
Tennessee has one of these guys on its campus in Tony Vitello. You can feel the infectious energy emanating in the fan base from two of them.
But it’s sad the national championship Louisville basketball program ever got to that point. Between a multiyear scandal, a coach placed on too short of a leash, and the Chad Morris of basketball hires, it’s sad to see Louisville basketball where it is right now.
If Kelsey gets what he wants, this is how the Cardinal faithful will be celebrating their football bye week. Unlike that one guy who’s going camping.
It remains to be seen if Vol fans will “Pack the Yum” with an important football game on the horizon.
I’ll leave you with this tweet. If you understand it, you’re a certified ball knower.
Tennessee plays Louisville in basketball Saturday.
