‘Orange Out’ to Return to Neyland Stadium
By Tucker Harlin
Tennessee is officially bringing back the “Orange Out” for the Third Saturday of October.
The idea first surfaced from athletics director Danny White on X, who asked Tennessee fans if they like the idea the last time Alabama came to town.
All that orange looked pretty sweet a couple years ago. Y’all think we should run it back? pic.twitter.com/EwiqTuoWZl

Soon after White posted this, the official Tennessee Athletics X account announced the return of Orange Out in Neyland Stadium.

The first win over one of your biggest rivals in a decade and a half is enough to make you revisit what worked well last time and try it again.
But let’s be honest.
When it isn’t a Checker Neyland game, the stadium is mostly filled with Tennessee orange. However, the sea of orange that engulfed Shields-Watkins Field on October 15, 2022 is a sight that will stick with Vols fans until the day they die.
