Nico Goes Ghost Mode… This One May Be A Wrap, Folks
By Cody McClure
Multiple Tennessee Football insiders are puzzled as to Nico Iamaleava’s whereabouts.
As we all know by now, he unexpectedly skipped practice this morning.
And there’s apparently not much of a chance that he’ll be at the Orange & White Game tomorrow.
So is he even in Knoxville? Some people have speculated that he’s already back home in California.
VolQuest’s Austin Price and Brent Hubbs posted on the VQ message boards that they are having trouble figuring out his physical location.
“Nico went from attending a QB dinner last night to no showing at practice this morning,” Price wrote. “So where is he? Is he at his place? Is he on the way back to Cali? We are working to figure that part out. We don’t believe anyone from Tennessee has heard from Nico and his camp today. They have reached out and come up empty.”
Price went on to write that there were several key leadership players not happy with Nico’s no show today. He also added that Tennessee did not want the story to leak.
“I’m first and foremost trying to find out where Nico and his family physically are at,” Hubbs wrote. “…It certainly feels like it would be an upset if Iamaleava was back … No one expects any Nico sighting tomorrow.”
Additionally, Adam Sparks of Knox News says he was told Nico has “gone quiet” and Tennessee hasn’t heard from him all day.
Really looking and sounding like this one may be a wrap, folks.
