Tucker Ranks Preseason Fanrun NCAA ‘25 Top 10

1. Cody McClure

Known varsity athlete Cody McClure excels not only on the natural grass but the virtual grass as well.

Cody’s asset of twitchy fingers makes him a massive favorite to win the inaugural NCAA ‘25 National Championship at Fanrun Radio.

Get in an early hole against Cody and you’ll find yourself burned like a smoked kielbasa.

2. Jon Reed

The loudest voice in the White Claw Hard Seltzer Studios was an easy pick for the second spot on this list.

Jon credits his time on Reed’s Ranch as a formative period for his abilities as long days working on a farm will change a man.

His head to head record against fellow Fanrun personalities is equally loud as his up tempo offensive schemes will always have Jon’s competitors on a steep uphill climb.

*Editor’s note: Jon would like to make it known he upset Cody last summer*

3. Christian Skelton

Coach Skelton makes his return to the Road to Glory to turn his Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders into a team of destiny.

A young and innovative mind, Christian’s 11-year hunger for the game’s return has him anxious to execute his master plan to bring Murfreesboro to the epicenter of college football.

Taking down Jon and Cody would be tricky for the Blue Raiders, but Christian remains the best of the dark horses in the offseason.

4. William Patteson

Few Fanrun personalities have the poise and control that is possessed by one William Patteson.

A matchup between Overtime Bill and Jon Reed has the potential for some fireworks as the two have established themselves as sworn enemies.

William’s run heavy attack will create a physical matchup for anyone he faces.

5. Intern Jace

The Georgia State Panthers would never be able to carry the weight of national attention if it weren’t for Coach Vincent’s leadership.

Under Jace’s guidance, the Panthers are looking to air out the ball more this season than they would have ever dreamed of under offensive coordinator Jim Chaney.

Early returns suggest Jace could make noise in Atlanta this fall, but the powers in the Fanrun annex should overwhelm the Panthers.

6. Dawson Wise

Dawson’s quiet confidence makes him a worthy underdog headed into the season.

His teams should function as the “trap game” on his opponents’ schedule as many of his opponents overlook his abilities with a controller in his hands.

His team’s undying will makes playing against him a stressful experience for all of his foes

7. Jack Pianta

The newest addition to TalkSports is not a foe to underestimate.

He’s not as loud as his counterparts but he prefers to fly under the radar and let his game do the talking.

The biggest mistake the Pianta Man’s opponents will make is overlooking him.

8. Sam Beard

The calm and easygoing nature of Sam will help him remain steady amid tense situations in the game.

That said, Sam admittedly doesn’t dabble in video games the way a good portion of the Fanrun personalities, so that may put him at a disadvantage.

But similar to many of the younger station personalities, he carries a quiet confidence that could serve him well in the game.

9. Marcus Young

In his defense, Marcus Young would just like to point out that he is not deserving to be projected in a spot outside the Top 10.

He and Russell Wilson will both do anything in their power to see NC State and Wisconsin succeed in all of their athletic endeavors.

Unfortunately for Marcus, Will Levis is all out of eligibility, so he can’t acquire him via the transfer portal.

10. Houston Kress

The Vol Rumor Mill doesn’t game a whole lot as he admitted to playing Madden a handful of times but no more.

That said, Houston is a worthy adversary as his biggest strength is the mind game he plays against his opponents.

Rumor has it the Vol Rumor Mill’s team will be running out of the locker room to “Schism” by Tool.

OTHERS

Bear

This may be a shock to many of you but Bear is on record saying he has played video games recently.

Similar to multi-sport athletes, Bear’s knowledge of the controls to other video games translates well in his strategy in NCAA ‘25.

Just make sure there aren’t any red buttons on the controller or else it will be a struggle for him to compete.

Russell Smith

Russell’s game plan does not appeal to many as his old school approach to the game often pales in comparison to the efforts of the other Fanrun competitors.

In other words, he’s a coach well past his introductory press conference.

He might have a chance to crack the Top 10 as the season rolls on, but it appears the game may have passed him.

Tucker Harlin

Any national media member that voted for Tucker to make the Top 10 is making a horrible mistake.

Looks can be deceiving as you would think Tucker would run a pass happy offense, but in reality it’s something similar to what Brian Ferentz ran at Iowa last year.

He’s as knowledgeable about video game controllers as he is obscure film references.
