A winning program needs a facility that has the capacity and amenities for crowds that want to see it in action.

That’s exactly why Tennessee pushed for renovations to Lindsey Nelson Stadium after Tony Vitello rattled off three spectacular seasons in a row.

The renovations were set in motion after Tennessee’s national title victory, but several of the proposed renovations will not be finished at the start of the 2025 season.

Let’s start with what will be ready for the 2025 season.

The right side of the stadium will feature four seat tabletop units on the right field line, restrooms and a concessions stand on the first baseline, and a student section in right field.

The only renovation that will be ready in left field is a bar on the main concourse.

Behind home plate, there will be renovated restrooms in the concourse, new cushioned seats in the MVP level, and chairback seats under a new mezzanine.

Now for what will have to wait until 2026.

The home plate entryway and player entryways will not be around for two more years.

The team store, ticket office, renovated concessions stands, third baseline restrooms, elevators, and mezzanine levels will not be available for fan usage.

Technological features such as LED lighting and an upgraded sound system have also been kicked down the road
