Jordan Gainey Has An Interesting Connection With A Wofford Player

Tennessee takes on Wofford tonight in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

One of UT’s players will have an interesting connection with one of Wofford’s players, according to a report from WVLT.

Vols senior guard Jordan Gainey will take on one of his former teammates when the teams meet.

Gainey and Terrier Justin Bailey were on the same team at USC-Upstate before finding their current destinations.

Both players were starters.

“I learned so much from him,” Bailey reportedly said Wednesday of Gainey. “Watching film was also a major key.”

It seems the two are still decent friends, as Gainey said he’s still kept an eye on Bailey.

“I’ve tuned into every single game that he’s been at and he’s been a part of … It’s going to be fun matching up with him again.”
