Halvorsen Joins Growing List of Vitello Vols in Show
By Tucker Harlin
The Colorado Rockies have called up former Vols relief pitcher Seth Halvorsen to the big league.
Halvorsen joins Garrett Crochet, Andre Lipcius, Ben Joyce, Trey Lipscomb, and Jordan Beck as Vols from the Tony Vitello era to find their way into MLB.
In fact, Halvorsen and Beck will be teammates once more in Denver.

Halvorsen joined the Vols in 2022 but missed the entire season due to an arm injury, postponing his debut to 2023.
The original goal for Halvorsen was to come in and start on weekends, but Chase Burns, Chase Dollander, and Drew Beam all established those roles in the wake of his injury.
Halvorsen proved himself a fairly reliable middle innings reliever in the Vols’ run to the 2023 College World Series.
Halvorsen was promoted from the Arizona Complex League Rockies to the Hartford Yard Goats at the beginning of April.
He was a Yard Goat for four months before his promotion to AAA, joining the Albuquerque Isotopes August 2.
The Rockies host the Baltimore Orioles this weekend at Coors Field, likely a series in which Halvorsen could make his debut.
