Fan Throws Object On Court Where Vols Are Playing Tonight

By Cody McClure

Things got a bit out of hand earlier today during the Louisville vs. Creighton basketball game.

Near the end of the game, in which Creighton ended up winning 89-75, a fan threw a water bottle onto the playing surface.

It prompted the cleanup crew to make an appearance causing a slight delay in the game, which had just over four minutes remaining.

The fan threw the bottle just after Louisville coach Pat Kelsey was issued a technical foul.

The announcers were very upset about it. You would have thought a guy threw a hand grenade.

Nonetheless, poor sportsmanship, I suppose.

The fan was apparently ejected after throwing the bottle.

Louisville and Creighton were playing in the same building, Kentucky’s Rupp Arena, where Tennessee will take on Wofford tonight.

Tip-off for the Vols game is at 6:50 p.m. ET.
