Deion Sanders Would ‘Almost Certainly’ Take Cowboys Job If Offered
By Cody McClure
Dallas Cowboys insider Ed Werder said today on X that Deion Sanders would “almost certainly” accept an offer to become the team’s next head coach.
“Those around him are encouraging him to pursue it,” Werder added. “… Jones is enamored with the idea.”
Sanders and Jones recently spoke about the job on a phone call.
Talks will continue into the short-term future, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Sanders played five seasons with the Cowboys from 1995 to 1999.
Will Coach Prime make the jump from Colorado to the biggest football job on the planet?
If he does, it will be nonstop news coverage. A real ratings darling.
And would the team draft his son, Shedeur, to play quarterback? Or maybe bring in Travis Hunter?
The possibilities are endless.
