Cody’s Corner: 2025 Is Our Year
By Cody McClure
Howdy, fellow cowboys.
I hope your month is off to a nice start. Are you sticking to those resolutions?
That new low-carb lifestyle… how’s that going? Meat and cheese only, huh? How long you think that’s really gonna last? Huh, fatty?
I know you had that cupcake. You piece of shit.
It’s OK. I know it’s tough. Hell, look at me. I’m trying “carnivore” myself for the 47th time. This will be the time it sticks.
What else are you going to improve this year? Everybody wants to be healthier. That seems important.
But what else? Maybe find a new hobby? Cut back on the boozing? Take up nude parasailing over Norris Lake?
Whatever you may be up to this year, I wish you luck. I just wanted to come here and hang out and update you all on a couple things in my life. This will be “my new column” titled “Cody’s Corner.”
I got a new Blackstone grill for Christmas.
It’s awesome. I put it together last weekend and have already used it like eight times. I cook everything on it now.
If you’re unfamiliar, it’s one of those with the griddle-like top where you can just throw mixed vegetables and eggs and whatever on there.
So I’m basically a Japanese hibachi chef now. That’s part of why I’m going “carnivore” again. Lots of meats to cook.
Another update in my life is that a homeless woman has moved on to the property where I stay.
She has set up shop out in the woods with a tent, cooler, bin of clothing, table, and all kinds of other shit.
Perhaps she will soon have her own Blackstone grill to use over there. Or she will just steal mine. I’ll keep you posted.
I guess her New Year’s Resolution was to begin criminally trespassing more often.
It’s been really great.
That’s about all I’ve got to report so far this year. Otherwise just livin’ you know.
It has sure been a hell of a week in the news to start off 2025.
LA is on fire. President-elect Donald Trump is possibly going to conquer Greenland and Canada??? Idk about that one. Not to get political.
Those LA fires sure have been wild, though, no pun intended. I was out there just one year ago at this time. Malibu was absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t get enough of that coastline. Now it’s turned to ash. Crazy stuff.
It appears a pretty big snow is getting ready to descend on us here in Knoxville. Are you prepared for that?
I went out yesterday for bread and milk but all I could find was tortillas and cottage cheese. Guess I’ll make do. JK, that’s not “carnivore.”
Anyway, carry on with your day and enjoy this elite sports weekend.
Good luck on all your endeavors, and I’ll talk to you next week.
