Golden Spikes award winner Wehiwa Aloy is off to the MLB after the Hogs choked AGAIN in Omaha in dramatic fashion.
It took less than a week to find his successor in the portal.
Arkansas landed Ball State junior transfer shortstop Dylan Grego on Tuesday, he announced on X.
Grego, a switch-hitting shortstop from Kansas City, Mo, was a ABCA/Rawlings third-team All-American in 2025 slashing .376/.429/.624.
The 6-foot-1 infielder tallied 91 hits, 14 home runs, 55 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases, while also boasting a .978 fielding percentage on just five errors.
With elite INF Nolan Souza returning from injury next season and Cam Kozeal anchoring the second-base position, Grego brings a high-upside option to replace Aloy at shortstop and keeps the Hogs in the national title conversation — if it ever gets moved from Omaha.
