Week 2 of Bet the Farm is focusing on the college football game of the week and two football games.
Louisville +3 vs Clemson
Sometimes, the analysis can be simple.
Last year, I didn’t think that Lamar Jackson could go into DeShaun Watson’s stadium and beat him in front of a raucous crowd on national TV. This year, I don’t think think an inexperienced Kelly Bryant is marching into Lamar Jackson’s home and beating him in front of a raucous crowd on national TV.
Lamar Jackson will be running for his life at times vs Clemson’s defensive line. But I like when Lamar Jackson runs.
Louisville moneyline, if you’re feeling wild.
Tennessee Titans -1.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars
I’m not ready to jump ship on the Titans yet, nor am I ready to commit to the “Jags may be good this year” hype-train. Oakland is good and the Texans aren’t that impressive a win.
Blake Bortles still plays quarterback for the Jaguars, and the Titans need a big win.
Oh, yeah. And Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye have missed practice for the jags with an illness and an ankle injury. Bouye will play, but Ramsey is questionable with an ankle injury.
Give me the Titans.
Miami Dolphins +3.5 at Los Angeles Chargers
Chargers lost a heart-breaker early Tuesday morning and now have a short week to get ready for a rested Dolphins team.
The Dolphins have a physical run game and have a good defensive line. Seems like a bad match-up for a tired Chargers.
Trusting Jay Cutler is an uneasy proposition, but I really like his weapons with Ajayi, Parker and Jarvis Landry. Give me the hook.
Memphis gets a home game against a UCLA team traveling across the country to play at 9am West Coast time. In the NFL, I like a two-team teaser with Tampa Bay -1 over Chicago and Carolina -1 over Buffalo.
