With the NCAA basketball regular season coming to an end this weekend, the bracket for the SEC tournament is set, and starts this Wednesday. All 14 teams will compete in St. Louis, and it is expected to be a slugfest.
But what if it was an actual slugfest? We at Fox Sports Knoxville made a bracket, seeded 1-14, based on what SEC men’s head coaches would win in a fight.
Here’s how its going to go down. We will be putting up Twitter polls every day with the matchups, and you, the fan, will vote on who you think would win. We’re talkin’ bare-knuckle boxing, in a fair fight. At the end of the week before the start of the SEC tournament championship game, we will release the results of the bracket.
The seeding goes as follows:
- Frank Martin
- Cuonzo Martin
- Mike Anderson
- Bruce Pearl
- Andy Kennedy (yes, we know he was fired)
- Mike White
- Billy Kennedy
- Rick Barnes
- John Calipari
- Avery Johnson
- Will Wade
- Mark Fox
- Bryce Drew
- Ben Howland
Try to be objective. Rick Barnes did just win it all in the SEC regular season, but let’s be real, he’s not beating all 13 other head coaches in a fight.
Be sure to pay attention to our twitter account at @FOXSportsKnox, and let us know the reason why your choice would win.
