On Tuesday evening former Vol Quinten Dormady announced on Instagram that he will be going back home to Texas to play for the Houston Cougars.
Major Applewhite went 7-5 in his first season at Houston but will still probably be the best coach Dormady will have ever played for during his career. This will be a homecoming for Dormady as he heads back to Texas, just roughly 200 miles away from his hometown of Boerne.
Dormady was disappointing in his lone year as Tennessee starter. He threw for 925 yards, completing just 55.5% of his passes with 6 TDs and 6 INTs before being benched for Jarrett Guarantano.
However, many speculated that the junior quarterback was hurt during the preseason and played injured.
Quinten Dormady will be eligible to play next season as a Grad transfer, and if you know Tennessee’s recent history, Dormady will probably be on an NFL roster in 2019.
