Quart’e Sapp and Vols Back on Practice Field

Tennessee finds itself refocused during this bye week.

“Everybody’s not happy about how the game played out,” sophomore linebacker Quart’e Sapp said Tuesday. “We’ve got to make some big adjustments. So everybody has the attitude – we want to address the elephant in the room – and prepare for South Carolina.”

Sapp’s battled injuries in his time at Tennessee, only playing in two games last season.

“It was a journey to get here,” he said. “God has a plan for everybody. I have amazing teammates and amazing coaching staff, so everybody was with me and stuck it out.”

Sapp led the team in tackles against No. 7 Georgia. He’s provided the Vols a form of stability after linebackers Cortez McDowell and Darrin Kirkland Jr. were lost for the season.
