The Vols once again are staying red hot on the recruiting trail, this time wracking up another three commits in four days.
4-stars running back Cody Brown, offensive tackle Colby Smith, and 3-star safety De’Shawn Rucker announced their commitments to Tennessee this past week.
The commits move the Vols to No.2 in the team rankings on Rivals and 247 Sports.
However, Tennessee will be looking to carry on their recruiting momentum into the weekend.
As special as Mother’s Day is for all the mothers, this Mother’s Day has the potential to be another big day for Jeremy Pruitt and the boys.
There is two players who could announce their commitments on Mother’s Day: outside linebacker Aaron Willis and quarterback Kaidon Salter.
Willis is a 4-star OLB from Baltimore, Maryland.
He’s rated as the 123rd best recruit and 10th best OLB in the 2021 class.
Willis plans to announce his commitment at 11am on Sunday.
According to 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, the Vols have an 89% chance on getting Willis.
Kaidon Salter is a 4-star quarterback out of Cedar Hill, Texas.
Salter is the 88th best recruit and 4th best dual quarterback in the 2021 class.
Salter plans on to make his announcement at noon on Sunday.
According to 247 Sports Crystal Predictions, there is a 100% chance for Salter to commit to Tennessee.
If Willis and Salter both commit to Tennessee on Sunday, this would increase the Vols recruiting class to 20.
Within that 20, that would also include two 5 stars and six 4 star commits.
Vols hope that these commits will cut the gap with Ohio State.
If this happens, Tennessee could potentially have the #1 recruiting class in the country.
As it stands, this will be the best recruiting class Tennessee has had since 2000.
With a stat like that, that certainly have to make fans on ole Rocky Top excited.
