Jon Gruden has been linked to Tennessee seemingly every year since he stepped out of the NFL. This morning, Gruden was on ESPN’s Mike and Mike In The Morning and was asked about all of these swirling #Grumors. He had the perfect chance to put them all to rest, but he did just the opposite.

“I haven’t talked to anybody. All I really have in my life is my family and football, that’s about it. I’m real sensitive to the coaches that are out there, so I don’t speculate. I just love football and I’m trying to hang on to the job I have. I’m very fortunate to be with the people I’m with.
I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, I just know this — I’m going to continue give my best effort to the game, stay prepared, and I love Monday Night Football, don’t plan on leaving — but, as you know in life, you never say never to nothing.”
That’s all that Tennessee fans need to hear. NEVER SAY NEVER TO NOTHING. That spells out “Gruden is coming to Knoxville.”
With the latest #Grumor being that he was in town last night, the fanbase is about to explode with anticipation. For what it’s worth, Jon Gruden was listed as the head football coach at the University of Tennessee on Wikipedia for a short time. Isn’t that confirmation enough?
If Gruden doesn’t end up in Orange and White on the West sidelines, it’s gonna feel a lot like this State Farm for Big Orange fans.
