Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and his staff wasted no time in offering dynamic talents in their own backyard.
According to VolQuest’s Austin Price, one of the Vols’ latest official targets is Powell High School (Tenn.) wide receiver, Ayden Greene.

The rising junior had 566 receiving yards and seven touchdowns for the Panthers last season. Hauling in passes from All-State quarterback Jordyn Potts isn’t the only thing Greene can do. The 6’3, 175 lb. athlete had 16 tackles and an interception on defense. Greene also recorded 18 punts for an average of 38.7 yards.
His sophomore campaign has been nothing short of a highlight reel. Whether it’s on the football field or hardwood, Greene flashes skills that turn into social media gems.

On the gridiron, Greene was a benefactor of offensive coordinator Josh Jones’ high-powered offense. The Panthers threw for over 2600 yards through the air in 2020, with three players tallying 500 receiving yards or more. Greene averaged 16.7 yards per catch. Even after his sophomore season, the receiver is still making plays – and giving out ‘fades’ – for the Elite 3 7v7 showcase.

The other offer goes to Powell sophomore Adarius Redmond. The 6’1, 180 lb. receiver is listed as a 4-star recruit, according to 247sports. Redmond was previously offered by Jeremy Pruitt’s staff as a freshman.

Greene was the TSSAA Region 3-5A Wide Receiver of the Year in 2020, while Redmond also earned All-Region accolades.
