FOX Sports Knoxville is launching a new daily on-air show, titled “Talk Sports,” with two current FOX Sports personalities on June 19.
Talk Sports will run in lunchtime hours from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. after the conclusion of 3&OUT, which runs from 7-10 a.m. daily. The show features 3&OUT personality Jon Reed and current host of Overtime (6-8 p.m.) Boomer Dangel.
From 3&OUT’s Jon Reed: “It’s a privilege to have the responsibility of expanding FOX Sports Knoxville’s lineup and provide fans with a local lunchtime show. Talk Sports is going to embody what our company is all about: unfiltered and engaging entertainment. Talk Sports is going to be fresh and branch outside of the usual bubble while always finding a way to be honest.”
We aren’t going to spoon-feed you Vol talk or manufacture the same topics you’ve been given for years. – Jon Reed
From Overtime’s Boomer Dangel: “I know Jon and I are both excited to add another piece to FOX Sports Knoxville’s lineup. Now we’ll move one step closer to a full-day lineup for the fans. Jon and I come from very different backgrounds — in life and media.”
The common thread between us is deep passion for the Tennessee Vols and East Tennessee community. – Boomer Dangel
More Jon Reed on the pair that he and Boomer make: “Boomer is the ideal partner for me. We don’t have much in common other than both of us being good-looking. I’m sort of a loose cannon and ‘color outside of the lines’ with my opinions, whereas Boomer is poised and calculated.”
I’ll dance on the edge between reckless and provocative; Boomer will make sure we don’t fall over the side. – Jon Reed
FOX Sports Knoxville member Davey Hudson will move to a full-time producer role for 3&OUT, while Overtime will feature a different lineup each night, made up of FOX Sports Knoxville’s newly assembled digital team.
In the meantime, continue to listen in to 3&OUT from 7-10 a.m., The Drive from 3-6 p.m. and Overtime from 6-8 p.m. on WKGN — AM 1340 and FM 101.5.
