Nobody panic, nobody panic…okay PANIC!

It’s coming back. EA Sports is finally bringing college football back to sports video game lovers the world over.
And after almost eight years in hiatus, it’s not a moment too soon.
It remains to be seen how the game will be affected by the NIL rulings from the Supreme Court or the NCAA (note there is no NCAA branding in the tweet). But that probably won’t matter. In a world where the internet can create a mod for just about anything in just about every game, the real world of college football will find a way to make it into this game.
Will the soundtrack yet again consist of entirely fight songs?
Will defenders continue to be hilariously athletic and hyper-aware of their surroundings?
Will we see the triumphant return of Road to Glory/Campus Legend? Dynasty mode? Team Builder? Whatever that mascot game mode was?
We don’t know yet. But after getting about 100,000 retweets and 100,000 likes on EA’s tweet roughly thirty minutes after posting, it’s safe to say that the world is excited.
