College Football Predictions For Saturday: COVID Style

This week has been really strange with multiple games being canceled due to COVID-19.

After all the cancellations, there is still quality football for your viewing pleasure on Saturday. So let’s jump right into our picks for the weekend slate!

Georgia @ Alabama (-4.0)

This is the game of the year. So many questions are to be answered Saturday night like: can a former Nick Saban assistant finally win against him or is Georgia’s defense really legit? As many of you heard, Saban also tested positive for COVID-19 and Alabama’s defense seems vulnerable after last week’s win against Ole Miss.

So can the Bulldogs win? I would except a slug fest between the teams so buckle up for this dog fight.

Prediction: Alabama 27, Georgia 24

BYU (-5.0) @ Houston

After three cancellations from opponents for Houston, they finally get to play their second opponent of the year and it’s not easy.

BYU, who is lead by possible Heisman candidate QB Zach Wilson is on fire currently, but they’ve not really played a creditable team until now. We’ll see if the Cougars of Houston can stop BYU’s high-flying passing attack.

You should except a lot of points to be scored.

Prediction: BYU 41, Houston 32

Kentucky @ Tennessee (-6.0)

Vols

As a fan base, last week’s game against Georgia was rougher than a corn cob but this should be a bounce back game for the Volunteers.

We’re not downplaying the talent Kentucky has but let’s be honest. Tennessee just beats Kentucky minus a couple of times. Everyone hates QB Jarrett Guarantano currently but he owns the Wildcats and honestly I except Jeremy Pruitt to run the ball right down Kentucky’s throat on Saturday.

Kentucky is very one-dimensional and the Vols defense is known for shutting down the run so I see the Vols handling business Saturday in Neyland.

Prediction: Tennessee 31, Kentucky 17
