After recent rumblings of renaming Rupp Arena, because it’s racist, I have the perfect name for the University of Kentucky to adopt.
Fulkerson Fieldhouse.
You have to be delicate when naming a place of importance, especially in today’s society, but Fulkerson Fieldhouse just makes sense.

He owns Kentucky.
On March 3rd, 2020, John Fulkerson officially became the daddy of Kentucky basketball after he led the Vols from a 16-point deficit to an 81-73 win. Fulkerson’s 27-point outburst on 10-of-15 shooting was one of the most impressive games in college basketball last season.
Fulky was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line and added six rebounds and two assists.
We’ve seen some remarkable performances from former Vols in recent seasons in Fulkerson Fieldhouse, but 27 points takes the cake.
Even John Calipari said his team couldn’t stop Fulkerson. He didn’t have any answers the Fulk who flexed his muscles all game long.
Kentucky will also be replacing their concession stands with Pals, the greatest East Tennessee fast-food chain.
Kentucky will continue to honor Fulkerson by hanging his jersey in the rafters this upcoming season.
Fulkerson was one of the best bigs in the SEC last season. As he begins his senior campaign, nothing would make more sense than naming an arena after him.
