3-Star Offensive Tackle William Griffin-Parker Commits to Tennessee

After flipping an offensive lineman earlier this week, Jeremy Pruitt has added another piece to the trenches. 3-star OT William Griffin-Parker announced his decision to play for the Vols on CBS earlier today. Griffin-Parker comes in at 6-5 and 325 pounds. According to 247, he is ranked as the 413th overall player and 37th OT. Griffin-Parker holds offers from almost every major program and chose Tennessee over Alabama, Louisville, Florida, and Auburn.

Below you can find the video of Griffin-Parker’s commitment, with a subtle troll towards Alabama:

During his interview on CBS, when asked about why he chose the Vols, Griffin-Parker mentioned the relationships with the coaching staff and how active and involved the coaches have been with the current social issues. This seems to be a trend with many recruits. These players aren’t just wanting coaches to fight for them on the field. They want them to fight with them off the field, as well. Tennessee’s staff has done a tremendous job transpiring this aspect to recruits, and it is not something that should be overlooked.

Griffin-Parker becomes the 26th commitment of the 2021 class for Pruitt. The Vols’ staff still have their eyes on several other high-end prospects, so it will be interesting to see how things finish. Regardless, William Griffin-Parker is a high-end prospect and someone the fans should be looking forward to seeing dominate on Rocky Top.
