Known Jackass Tim Corbin Acts As Expected While Vandy Disappoints
By Cody McClure
“I don’t give a rat’s ass about a second game,” Tim Corbin told one Vanderbilt reporter after the Commodores lost 3-2 to Louisville on Saturday.
I guess Corbin’s thinking was spot on here, because clearly, there was no need to give a rat’s ass about a game that wasn’t even going to happen.
Vanderbilt didn’t have to worry about seeing Louisville in a rematch, as they couldn’t even beat Wright State yesterday.
The Commodores were eliminated from their home regional in Nashville 5-4, and they made history while doing so.
Vandy became the first No. 1 seed in the history of the NCAA baseball tournament to not even make the region final.
Corbin seemed flustered throughout the weekend. He was a real prick to the reporters.
“We didn’t score enough runs,” Corbin said to another female reporter who asked what the issue was with Vandy’s offense. “Issue? You play playoff baseball, Aria? It’s tough pitching on both sides. We’re pitching hard. They’re pitching hard. Two good teams.
“You realize that, right? These are good pitchers on the mound. These are battles. We just didn’t win the battle. Don’t go searching for like a lot of ancillary bullshit. We just didn’t get the hit.”
An old asshole coach being condescending to a female reporter. Classic.
Hopefully Tim slept OK in his batting helmet last night.
